1. Financial Wealth is a product of labor. Capital is an effect, not a cause; a servant, not a master; a means, not an end.
2. The most commonly accepted definition of wealth is that it consists of all useful and agreeable things which possess exchange value. It is this exchange value which is the predominant characteristic of wealth.
3. When we consider the small addition made by wealth to the happiness of the possessor, we find that the true value consists not in its utility but in its exchange value.
4. This exchange value makes it a medium for securing the things of real value whereby our ideals may be realized.
5. Financial wealth should then never be desired as an end, but simply as a means of accomplishing an end. Success is contingent upon a higher ideal than the mere accumulation of riches, and he who aspires to such success must formulate an ideal for which he is willing to strive.
6. With such an ideal in mind, the ways and means can and will be provided, but the mistake must not be made of substituting the means for the end. There must be a definite fixed purpose, an ideal.
7. Prentice Mulford said: “The man of success is the man possessed of the greatest spiritual understanding and every great fortune comes of superior and truly spiritual power.” — Unfortunately, there are those who fail to recognize this power; they forget that Andrew Carnegie’s mother had to help support the family when they came to America, that Harriman’s father was a poor clergyman with a salary of only $200.00 a year, that Sir Thomas Lipton started with only 25 cents. These men had no other power to depend upon, but it did not fail them.
8. The power to create depends entirely upon spiritual power; there are three steps: idealization, visualization and materialization. Every captain of industry depends upon this power exclusively. In an article in Everybody’s Magazine, Henry M. Flagler, the Standard Oil multi-millionaire, admitted that the secret of his success was his power to see a thing in its completeness-his spiritual power.

Your first step in creating your millionare lifestyle: Become aware of when you are allowing energy to flow or when you are blocking it.
The easiest way to ascertain this is to pinpoint how you are feeling. Lower vibrating emotions keep you from going with the harmonious flow. You are like a heavy stone in a river.
Do not judge or condemn yourself for not feeling as good as you ‘should’. There are no ‘shoulds’. Your only task is to raise your vibration until you are as light as a twig being carried along on a current.
Practice raising your vibration by any means necessary. That might be listening to music, going for a walk, spending time with friends, having a nap, watching something funny on TV, writing in a journal, even allowing yourself to be sad for a while and then making the effort to feel better.
Remember that thoughts transmute to things and circumstances, so become aware of your habitual thoughts, and, if they are not serving you well, change them.

The Hermetic Philosophy

The Seven Hermetic Principles, upon which the entire Hermetic Philosophy is based, are as follows:

The Principle of Mentalism
“THE ALL IS MIND; The Universe is Mental.”–The Kybalion.
This Principle embodies the truth that “All is Mind.” It explains that THE ALL (which is the Substantial Reality underlying all the outward manifestations and appearances which we know under the terms of “The Material Universe”; the “Phenomena of Life”; “Matter”; “Energy”; and, in short, all that is apparent to our material senses) is SPIRIT which in itself is UNKNOWABLE and UNDEFINABLE, but which may be considered and thought of as AN UNIVERSAL, INFINITE, LIVING MIND.
It also explains that all the phenomenal world or universe is simply a Mental Creation of THE ALL, subject to the Laws of Created Things, and that the universe, as a whole, and in its parts or units, has its existence in the Mind of THE ALL, in which Mind we “live and move and have our being.”
This Principle, by establishing the Mental Nature of the Universe, easily explains all of the varied mental and psychic phenomena that occupy such a large portion of the public attention, and which, without such explanation, are non-understandable and defy scientific treatment.

Seven Spiritual Laws of Abundance
1. The source of abundance is infinite
When we think about making money we limit our expectations based on our current job and our capabilities. We think that the source of all this money is limited. Earning more than our paycheck seems like good fortune which happens once in a blue moon. These limiting beliefs hinder us from trying and striving for more.
There are infinite ways to make money, if you don’t like your job know that you can create abundance in various ways without selling your soul.
Abundance is not a zero-sum game.
Getting comfortable with the idea that the source of abundance is infinite, we open doors of new opportunities that never existed before. It allows us to let go of the feeling of jealousy and envy.
Knowing that the universe is the giver, and your job and business is just a medium takes the pressure off our shoulders.
2. Whatever you want to receive, start by giving
Giving is an important part of the process.
The more you hold onto the money the more it will slip through your grip. The answer is to give away with pure intention and forget about it. You may not receive the same amount or value but it will come back in unexpected ways.
When we give with pure intention and with no expectation whatsoever, the universe appreciates us and surprises us in mysterious ways.

3. Money is the exchange of values
This one is the most common practice used in business and in the general world. We get what we give. Provide value and people will buy your product and your services. Provide helpful content and they’ll follow you.
The reason why CEOs from tech companies become billionaires is that they provide value to billions and millions of people through their products. The more value you provide to your readers, clients, and customers, the more money will follow you. It’s the law of nature.
4. Wealth is a state of consciousness
Being wealthy is a state of being. A person who has less money than you could be more wealthy by being conscious about his body and mental wealth. We all are blessed with spontaneous creativity.
When we become conscious and aware of our unique talent we can use this energy to create abundance. Being in awe of ourselves and all the possibilities around us can make us more wealthy than the person who has a ton of money and still whines about his misfortune.
In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna makes a wise statement: Gahano karmano gatih — the universe by its very nature works, works, works. The nature of the universe is to work, create, and expand. Life’s flow itself is work. Wealth is a natural result of this process.
5. Intention and attention is in the field of infinite possibilities
One of the famous self-help lessons says— we expand the experience of an incident or action by giving it our attention.
If we’re only focused on what’s available to us right now or only on things we can see, we’d never be able to focus on the bigger picture.
The idea is to believe in the infinite possibilities that are available to us. If one way doesn’t work out, know that there are infinite different ways to reach your destination.
If our intention and attention are focused on our destination, then it doesn’t matter which route we take to get there. Often we find ourselves in different situations think we can never get out from, but we get out of it better than we’d imagined.
Connecting the dots when you’re in the middle of a chaotic situation will limit your attention to the infinite possibilities available to you but you’ve got to trust the universe. I talk about it more in the story mentioned below
6. Law of detachment
The key to abundance is letting go. When we let go of the desire aka results, we focus on the process. Becoming process-oriented and detaching ourselves from the result is the ideal meaning of the Law of Detachment. Fully immersing ourselves in the process shifts our focus on what we’re doing from what we want.

7. The purpose of wealth is to create joy
The ultimate goal of wealth should be creating joy and happiness.
If you’re feeling dejected and putting too much pressure on yourself, you should know that the ultimate goal of wealth is being able to create joy — for yourself and for the world. And you have the ability to do it this very moment.
The fulfillment curve shows that after a certain point, wealth doesn’t make any difference in fulfillment and happiness. But it can create a lot of difference in the lives of others — people who need your support.
When you find yourself in a dilemma of whether you should strive for wealth, remind yourself that the more you have the more you can offer.

The 12 Spiritual Laws of Money
The Law of Divine Oneness
The universe is made of particles of energy. It is one great seething mass of particles. And every single one of them is connected to all the others. This means that every thing and every one are also connected, and all are part of this vast, limitless cosmic ocean. There is no separation. The idea that we are separate individuals is an illusion. We may feel that we are on our own while on this life experience, but when we die, the energy of our being-ness is returned to the whole.
Law of Vibration
Every particle vibrates and shimmies with energy. Nothing is at rest – whether it be the Earth herself, or the molecules of the desk you are sitting at. Everything has its own frequency, i.e. the speed at which it vibrates. Lower, negative energy vibrates more slowly than higher, positive energy. That doesn’t mean one is better than the other; just that they are different. “Everything in life is vibration.” Albert Einstein
Law of Correspondence
The Law of Correspondence results from the Law of Divine Oneness. In essence, it means that patterns observed in the universe on a huge scale are also observed on the macro level. This results in harmony and agreement; cycles which are connected and related. Think how often the spiral pattern forms in nature. We see it in galaxies, on the faces of sunflowers and in the water that disappears down the waste outlet in our bath tubs. Every time we consult our horoscope, we are relying on the Law of Correspondence. “As above, so below; as below, so above.”–The Kybalion.
Law of Attraction
By now everyone knows of the Law of Attraction, or ‘like attracts like’. The Law of Attraction is tied to the law of Vibration in that things of the same vibrational frequency are attracted to each other. The key to working with LoA is to line your vibration (thoughts and emotions) up with whatever it is you want to come into your life. Unfortunately most of us think that that is all we need to do, but one needs to be aware of all 12 spiritual laws of the Universe in order to create a healthy and prosperous life. Law of Inspired Action
Inextricably linked to the Law of Attraction is the Law of Inspired Action. This law states that to attain, achieve and attract what you want, you have to take inspired action toward those things. If a tiger needs to eat, she doesn’t sit around waiting for a tasty treat to land at her feet, although some dogs we know do exactly that. The tiger takes action to achieve her aim of procuring food. The Law of Inspired Action helps you to facilitate what you desire. It doesn’t have to be a great effort, just making a move in the right direction causes the Law of Vibration to kick in, which in turn, brings the Law of Attraction into play. Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy
The Law of Transmutation means that all energy: that which is constant motion due to the Law of Vibration, is also in constant flux. From the stars and planets to the cells in our bodies. It’s true that some changes aren’t visible because the particles simply reform into what they were previously. Higher vibrations are able to ‘encourage’ low vibrations to speed up. For instance, let’s say you are feeling low, if you get outside, breathe, absorb the positive energy of nature, you will always feel better than you did before, even if it’s a temporary state. And again, you can connect this to the Law of Action and help things along.

The Law of Cause and Effect
The Universal Law of Cause and Effect is probably the easiest to understand. It states that for every action there is some kind of reaction. In the physical realm this is pretty obvious, yet it happens in the spiritual realm also. Remember that energy is everywhere. It’s what Wallace Wattles called, ‘the thinking substance’. It fills space, it fills us. There is no such thing as an energy vacuum. Each deed, thought and emotion is a movement of energy and thus has an effect on energy around you.

The Law of Compensation
The Law of Compensation works in tandem with the Law of Cause and Effect. In a nutshell, it means that you will receive what you put out. This is not just to do with riches and wealth. Riches can be a punishment as well as a reward. A person who wins the lottery may not be reaping benefits of a good life, but be in the process of creating their own downfall. There are countless examples that show that wealth is not necessarily an indicator of a happy and fulfilled life. So, the Law of Compensation is a little like Karma. You reap what you sow. Good, bad, positive or negative are not factors. The Law of Compensation just is.
When you understand the law of divine compensation, you realize that in the presence of spiritual consciousness, there is more than enough compensation for any diminishment in materiality. —

Law of Relativity
The Universal Law of Relativity shows us that nothing can be judged; deemed good or bad, until it is compared with something else. The Law of Relativity works for us and against us constantly, and it is always a good (see what we did there?) thing to remind ourselves of it each time we slip into judging mode. This person is bad because we compare his or her behavior to what is currently socially acceptable. That person is good because he or she is more altruistic than their neighbor. You can’t tell the size of a star without comparing it to others and judging the amount of light it emits. You can’t know how wealthy you are unless you measure yourself against the wealth of other people. In non-judgment and comparison, a ‘thing’ just ‘is’.

Law of Polarity
Everything that exists has an opposite. You can’t discern darkness without having known light. You can’t know happiness without feeling sad. Contrast enables us to experience. Imagine picking up a stick. On one end is joy, on the other end, fear. It’s your decision where to hold the stick. It’s all on a spectrum and you get to choose how you pick up that stick.

Law of Rhythm
The Universal Law of Rhythm is also the Law of Perpetual Motion. It means that everything moves in cycles: orbits, tides and even politics. Empires rise and fall, economies prosper and fail. Seasons change, the Wheel of the Year turns. We’re all moving to the rhythm of life… and death.
“Everything flows, out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall; the pendulum-swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythm compensates.”–The Kybalion.
Law of Gender
The Law of Gender is the manifestation of Yin and Yang. It is another form of the Law of Polarity. This is not limited to what sex a person is; it is the balance of the Divine Masculine and Feminine within. Everything has this dual quality and each extreme has its corresponding opposite. It is two pieces of a jigsaw. Night and day. It’s interconnected with all the other Universal Laws.

The Spiritual Metaphysical Laws of Money
SEEK THE ‘KINGDOM’:
“There is a kingdom of abundance of all things, and it may be found by those who seek it and are willing to comply with its laws. Jesus said, “that it is hard for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven.”
This does not mean that it is hard because of his wealth, for the poor man gets in no faster and no easier. It is not money but the thoughts men hold about money, its source, its ownership, and its use, that keep them out of the kingdom.
Men’s thoughts about money are like their thoughts about all possessions; they believe that things coming out of the earth are theirs to claim and control as individual property, and may be hoarded away and depended on, regardless of how much other men may be in need of them.
The same belief is prevalent among both rich and poor, and even if the two classes were suddenly to change places, the inequalities of wealth would not be remedied. Only a fundamental change in the thoughts of wealth could do that.” (Charles Fillmore Prosperity 16)
This paragraph is one of Charles Fillmore’s most comprehensive essays on the errors of strictly materialistic thinking about supply. He sees this kind of thinking as futile, unpleasant, and unnecessary because there is a dimension of consciousness where abundance is always available.
He calls this “the kingdom.” It is the same kingdom Jesus often speaks about. Jesus did not advocate poverty. He only commented on the danger of riches. Likewise, the Fillmores certainly did not recommend poverty, but by their own lives were examples of what can be attained when one shuns avarice or acquisitiveness.

LAW OF COMPENSATION:
“’Give, and it shall be given unto you’ is the statement of a law that operates in every thought and act of man. This law is the foundation of all barter and financial exchange.
Men scheme to get something for nothing; but the law, in one of its many forms, overtakes them in the end. Even metaphysicians, who above all people should understand the law, often act as if they expected God to provide abundantly for them before they have earned abundance.
It is an error to think that God gives anybody anything that has not been earned.” (The Twelve Powers of Man 27)
Most people think only of working as a way of earning. But Charles Fillmore saw that under spiritual law, giving is also a way of earning. There are countless ways of giving, and not all of them would be recognized by the world as such.
Sometimes just deciding on an attitude is a way of giving. Sometimes just giving up an attitude is giving. There are so many ways to give and all of them are recognized and rewarded by Spirit.
WHAT MONEY REPRESENTS:
“It is not money, but the love of money, that is the root of all evil.
What men need to know is that money represents a mind substance of unlimited abundance and accessibility; that this mind substance cannot safely be hoarded or selfishly used by anyone; that it is a living magnet attracting good of every kind to those who possess it; that those who train their thoughts to depend on this mind substance for supply of all kinds never lack.” (Keep a True Lent 106)
The statement that “money represents a mind substance of unlimited abundance and accessibility” is worth pondering very seriously.
When understood, it opens all sorts of new insights and realizations and can change one’s basic attitude about money. The difficulty connected with this metaphysical insight is that mind substance is not visible and tangible; only its representative is.
And so the tendency is to worship money rather than the divine source of the mind substance. When this attitude changes, and the divine source is worshipped, prosperity can be enjoyed to the fullest.
THE MONEY ‘IDEA’:
“The wise metaphysician deals with the money IDEA and masters it.” (Charles Fillmore Christian Healing 136)
“Watch your thoughts when you are handling your money, because your money is attached through your mind to the one source of all substance and all money.
When you think of your money, which is visible, as something directly attached to an invisible source that is giving or withholding according to your thought, you have the key to all riches and the reason for all lack.” (Keep a True Lent 102)
Here Mr. Fillmore expands the metaphysics of money and sees it as an “idea” as well as a “representation.”
In the second paragraph we detect what that idea might be. It is the idea that money, like everything else in existence, is connected to the invisible Source through our minds.
This makes good metaphysical sense. Money itself is not the trap one may fall into, but erroneous attitudes about it can be a trap.
LAW OF INCREASE:
“There is a universal law of increase. It is not confined to bank accounts but operates on every plane of manifestation.
The conscious cooperation of man is necessary to the fullest results in the working of this law. You must use your talent, whatever it may be, in order to increase it.
Have faith in the law. Do no reason too much but forge ahead in faith and boldness.” (Charles Fillmore Prosperity 81)
- The Old Testament is a record of religious thinking based upon belief in a law of even exchange.
- The New Testament is a record of religious thinking based on the law of increase.
Jesus often tells His hearers, “You have heard that it was said. . . But I say unto you. . .” Such passages illustrate a rise in the level of religious thinking. This rise must occur in all who seek to attain a true prosperity consciousness.
LAW OF GIVING AND RECEIVING:
“There is a law of giving and receiving and it requires careful study if we would use it in our prosperity demonstrations. It is a law of mind action, and it can be learned and applied the same as any other law.” (Charles Fillmore Prosperity 145)
“Law of Giving and Receiving—The law of substance that equalizes all things.
To realize and maintain divine order, substance must have both an inlet and an outlet in consciousness, and must be kept moving.
To demonstrate substance as supply, the law governing it must be recognized and kept. Those who, from pride or ignorance, do not open themselves to the inflow of substance do not demonstrate supply, and all who by selfishness refuse it an outlet, also fail.” (Revealing Word/Law)
Giving and receiving is one more example of the necessity for polarity of energy expressions in order to have manifestation.
Manifestation cannot occur without polarized energy expressions. This is a law of physics as well as metaphysics.
Giving and receiving are the two poles of the same universal energy. This energy is experienced in most persons as feelings of generosity. This energy wants to be expressed, and so we feel the promptings from our hearts to give and receive.

LAW OF LOVE:

The all-important presence of love is an essential in all spiritual demonstration. Without it, the possibility of failure is great.
At the very least, disappointment comes even with success. Love should permeate all our human desires and efforts. Love should be part of all motivation and this must include the desire for prosperity.
Selfishness tends to crowd out love, so it must be overcome. On the other hand, love crowds out nothing good, but simply “casts out all fear.”

Tithing is a very special kind of giving. It is in a class by itself. It is giving with the thought of God uppermost in mind.
This is why tithing is always connected with something religious, usually a church or a religious organization. It is not the church which causes it to be a tithe, but the thought of God in the mind of the giver.
Mr. Fillmore suggests that the thought of God as “partner” is a good one to adopt in tithing. Others may choose the thought of God as Source, or Increase, or unfailing Substance. But whatever form one may choose, it is the thought of God which constitutes the difference between tithing and just giving in general. For your exercise this week, try to bring yourself to a realization of the important fact that harmony and happiness are states of consciousness and do not depend upon the possession of things.
Realize that things are effects and come as a consequence of correct mental states. So that if we desire material possession of any kind our chief concern should be to acquire the mental attitude which will bring about the result desired.
This mental attitude is brought about by a realization of our spiritual nature and our unity with the Universal Mind which is the substance of all things.
This realization will bring about everything which is necessary for our complete enjoyment. This is scientific or correct thinking.
When we succeed in bringing about this mental attitude it is comparatively easy to realize our desire as an already accomplished fact; when we can do this we shall have found the “Truth” which makes us “free” from every lack or limitation of any kind.
