To Have Someone Understand Your Mind - Higher Perspective

Step 1: Understand Your Mind

Think of an iceberg that floats along in the Arctic Ocean. You can see parts of it above the surface of the water but the majority of it is actually hidden beneath.

Our mind is the same: the part that we are aware of and is visible to us is our conscious mind, while the other part that we are not aware of is our subconscious mind.

Although you are not aware of your subconscious, it stores your endless memories, thoughts, experiences, and emotions from your childhood that collectively form your beliefs. And your subconscious mind has been busy executing these stored beliefs in your reality.

Who you are now and what your life looks like are the results of your subconscious beliefs. Your beliefs influence your perceptions, judgments, opinions and the way you behave and act.

The problem is that most of these stored beliefs are negative in nature and are referred to as false, limiting beliefs or FLBs.

These FLBs manifest as fears, phobias, lack of self-confidence, your inability to trust others, etc., and form negative energy blocks that prevent you from becoming your best self and from achieving your desired reality.

To understand your mind better, let’s take a look at the two aspects of the mind: the conscious and subconscious mind.

The Conscious Mind

The first aspect of the mind is the CONSCIOUS MIND. It is the part that is aware of what’s happening inside and outside of you.

It is aware that you are reading this article and that you are reading this article on your phone or computer.

If you are drinking tea or coffee right now, your conscious mind is aware that your tea is hot or not. It is also aware of its taste. If you are holding a book, it knows the title of the book and whether the book is new or old.

If it’s snowing in your area, your conscious mind recognizes the snow and instantly associate it with the freezing temperature outside. If you are in the tropics, it is aware that the temperature is hot and humid.

When it comes to your life in general, your conscious mind understands whether you are in good financial conditions or if you struggle to get by. The conscious mind recognizes abundance around you in the form of the house you live in, the kind of car you drive, the job you have, and the overall state of your health.

When you want to achieve things in life but you are too negative about the outcome, your conscious mind will label any life goals you may have as “impossible to reach”.

The conscious mind likes to label things and events that are supposed to be neutral. It judges your tea as hot or cold, labels your mood as happy, your dress as pretty, the weather as freezing or hot or humid, reaching any goals as difficult or challenging, and life in general as a constant struggle.

In other words, your conscious mind is what filters, labels, and gives meaning to your neutral experiences and thoughts. These labels and meanings are usually based on and the source of your stored beliefs in your subconscious mind.

es in toxic relationships because they grew up in an abusive and unhealthy environment with parents who constantly bicker and fight in front of their children.

Because of the images that the children saw repeatedly and on a daily basis, being in an abusive or unhealthy environment became their new normal as it formed part of their subconscious beliefs.

When these children became adults, many of them tend to believe that they are not worthy of a loving or a healthy environment. As a result, they attract abusive partners or get into toxic

relationships; or because of their beliefs, they turn a perfectly fine relationship into something destructive.

This only proves that what you repeat and consistently act upon with your conscious mind becomes your truth in the subconscious mind and eventually manifests into your reality.

Ineffectiveness of the Conscious Mind

The problem with the conscious mind is that it is usually ineffective in its function as a filter.

This is because you are not always consciously aware of your train of thoughts or what is going on around you due to the sensory and data overload from your daily routine, hectic lifestyle, stress, and hundreds of stimuli in your life.

This is what it means when psychologists say that you have become “unconscious of your consciousness.”

Most people do not even have the time to objectively assess the labels they attach to the mental images, experiences, and inputs that they receive from outside influences before they pass everything to the subconscious mind.

Most are not even aware that they “knowingly” passed on these beliefs to their subconscious until they look at their lives and see what they don’t want.

According to the Laboratory of Neuro Imaging at the University of Southern California, an average person can have as much as 70,000 thoughts per day, but the majority of these thoughts are just psychobabble and insignificant mind talk that pop throughout the day.

Unfortunately, even these psychobabble automatically gets stored in your subconscious. Worse, if you face several challenges, like losing a job, the pervading thoughts in your conscious mind will focus on and magnify these challenges.

Once you attach the negative emotions of fear, worry, and anxiety to these thoughts about losing your job, these thoughts end up getting stored in your subconscious mind as permanent beliefs.

There are those who find themselves in toxic relationships because they grew up in an abusive and unhealthy environment with parents who constantly bicker and fight in front of their children.

Because of the images that the children saw repeatedly and on a daily basis, being in an abusive or unhealthy environment became their new normal as it formed part of their subconscious beliefs.

When these children became adults, many of them tend to believe that they are not worthy of a loving or a healthy environment. As a result, they attract abusive partners or get into toxic relationships; or because of their beliefs, they turn a perfectly fine relationship into something destructive.

This only proves that what you repeat and consistently act upon with your conscious mind becomes your truth in the subconscious mind and eventually manifests into your reality.

The Subconscious Mind

The second aspect of your mind is the SUBCONSCIOUS MIND, which is far more powerful than your CONSCIOUS MIND because it controls your body functions in auto mode.

As its name infers, your subconscious acts without requiring you to be aware of it most of the time. Your reality right now is shaped by your predominant thoughts and emotions in your subconscious mind.

If you always fear that you will not succeed in your career or business endeavors and you always repeat to yourself that it’s hard to find a decent job or start a business, your subconscious mind will create the reality of you struggling to find a job and always failing in business.

If you think it’s hard to lose weight and no exercise or diet programs can help you lose weight, your subconscious mind will create a reality where you will always remain overweight.

In other words, your subconscious mind has limitless powers to execute all your beliefs and manifest them in your reality.

No Awareness, No Judgment

Unlike the conscious mind, the subconscious has no awareness and cannot think on its own.

It doesn’t know how to label and judge things and events. It merely accepts anything and everything that’s presented to it, no matter if this is something you really desire or not.

The subconscious does not evaluate the truthfulness of the statement “I am always unlucky in life.” It will only focus on the negativity of the statement and manifest that.

In the same sense, your subconscious does not judge the statement “I am always a winner. I always reach my goals, dreams, and aspirations. I live my best life!” It simply focuses on the positivity you feel when you think or say that statement and bring that to your reality.

In ResurrectionNeville Goddard explained:

“The subconscious is not selective; it is impersonal and no respecter of persons. The subconscious is not concerned with the truth or falsity of your feeling. It always accepts as true that which you feel to be true. Because of this quality of the subconscious, there is nothing impossible for man. Whatever the mind of man can conceive and feel as true, the subconscious can and must objectify. Your feelings create the pattern from which your world is fashioned, and a change of feeling is a change of pattern.”

So, if you keep thinking and feeling that you are always unlucky in life and your conscious mind affirms that statement to be true by constantly focusing on it, what happens is that statement eventually gets stored in your subconscious mind as a belief.

And since the subconscious mind executes whatever is stored in it, what will manifest in your reality is the fact that life will always be difficult for you.

False and limiting beliefs (FLBs) are specific stories and internal narratives that hold you back from becoming who you want to be and from achieving the kind of life that you want for yourself. These FLBs reside in your subconscious mind.

Here’s an example of a general limiting belief:

“I am a victim of my circumstances.”

If you want to create lasting change in your life, you need to let go of your FLBs and cultivate positive and empowering beliefs that support your growth.

4 Effective Ways of Self-Questioning Your Limiting Beliefs
Step 2: Understand Your False and Limiting Beliefs or FLBs

False and limiting beliefs (FLBs) are specific stories and internal narratives that hold you back from becoming who you want to be and from achieving the kind of life that you want for yourself.  These FLBs reside in your subconscious mind.

Here’s an example of a general limiting belief:

“I am a victim of my circumstances.”

If you want to create lasting change in your life, you need to let go of your FLBs and cultivate positive and empowering beliefs that support your growth.

Here’s an example of a positive and empowering belief:

“My circumstances are opportunities to grow and create meaning in my life.”

FLBs make you believe that there’s nothing more to life than what you currently perceive it to be.

FLBs prevent you from seeing opportunities that can bring you joy, peace, and abundance. These are the root causes of your “misfortune” and “bad luck”.

The more you let your subconscious mind execute your FLBs, the more you affirm these FLBs.

Eventually, these FLBs become stronger and more potent that they will paralyze you and let you continue to live a mediocre life.

Just as your subconscious mind can store FLBs, it can also store positive and empowering beliefs if you choose. This entails reprogramming your subconscious mind and replacing your stored FLBs.

How False and Limiting Beliefs (FLBs) Affect Your Life

Let’s say you believe that people can’t be trusted. That false and limiting belief (FLB) will affect how you interact with people.

Because this belief resides in your subconscious mind, your brain will subconsciously always look for and find evidence that supports this belief. That’s because this is how the human brain is wired.

But, what if you believe that people are good, kind, and want to help you? This positive and empowering belief will positively affect how you interact with people.

Your brain will constantly look for and find evidence that supports this belief. And so, this is the kind of reality you will experience.

Under both scenarios, whom you interact with are the same types of people. But what will be different is the way you interpret their behavior.

Your brain will attach a positive or negative meaning to things, people, or event based on your beliefs in your subconscious mind.

In other words, your belief is like a code that programs your mind to think about your life in a certain way.

This is a simple example of how a single belief can dramatically affect your daily life.

Take into consideration that you have thousands of beliefs and all working to create your version of the world as you see it. You can’t just say, “People are kind,” and they immediately become kind.

That is not an example of a belief. That is an example of wishful thinking.

A belief happens when your perspective shifts, when you actually experience a different neural connections in your brain. Some people call it a mindset shift.

A Reprogrammed Subconscious Mind Will Bring Positive Changes in Your Life

Once you have successfully reprogrammed your subconscious mind (meaning you have already replaced your false, limiting beliefs or FLBs with positive ones), you will see positive changes in your life.

When you replace your FLBs with new and empowering ones, your life will change for the better. You will experience strings of breakthroughs and successes that you didn’t know exist. You will then understand better how your beliefs affect your physical reality.

You will cease to become “unlucky” and you will experience a series of “meaningful coincidences” that will lead you to good things in life. You will also meet good people and those who will show you the paths to your desires.

Everything will be rearranged for you through the “field of infinite possibilities” so that you’ll achieve the life of your dreams.

Reprogramming your subconscious mind is the best investment and gift that you can give to yourself because the results are lasting if not permanent.

A reprogrammed subconscious mind can lead you to enormous success, power, wealth, the best health, the best career or business, and the best relationships.

Step 3: Identify Your FLBs

Before you can change anything, you must first identify what you want to change.

If you need to fix an area of your life, you need to identify the different FLBs that you have in that specific area.

But since you have many FLBs, you need to focus on those with the biggest impact. Once you can successfully address these limiting beliefs, you can easily solve the others.

My Recommended Method: Fill-in-the-blank method

This method is simple but very effective to recognize your FLBs.

To do this, describe a situation you are struggling with.

Example:

“It’s hard to start a business,” and add “because” after it and then finish the sentence.

Examples:

“It’s hard to start a business because it requires an MBA degree and a big capital.”

“I cannot find love because I am not pretty.”

“It’s hard to lose weight because of my slow metabolism.”

“I am poor because my parents are poor.”

“I can’t travel because of my job.”

Don’t judge yourself when you complete these sentences but recognize that what you say after “because” is the FLB about a specific aspect of your life.

Make a list of as many FLBs as you can about a specific subject, then focus on big FLBs that seem to cripple you down.

Here’s an example below:

After you’ve identified your FLBs, you need look into your childhood memories and recall at what age you first had this belief about yourself. Recall the EARLIEST event in your life that you think is the source of this FLB.

Then, identify the source of that FLB. The source is any person you looked up to like your parents, early teachers, grandparents, older siblings, aunts and uncles, caregivers, etc.

What was the memory about? Why do you think you got that from that person of authority in your life? What was their childhood like?

Step 4: Clear Your FLBs and Energy Blocks
4 Steps to Release “Limiting Beliefs” Learned From Childhood | Psychology Today

Since you’ve already identified your false, limiting beliefs, it’s time to clear the energy blocks caused by these FLBs.

These emotional blocks may be subtle or obvious negative sensations like the heaviness that you feel in your body. At times, they manifest as body pains due to negative thoughts and emotions.

These may also be your surrounding space, like that feeling of pressure or tightness around you as if you have a negative presence or aura.

Energy blocks are usually stuck feelings that are left unresolved.

In Part III, you have already identified your FLBs, so it is time to transmute or release these energy blocks FOR GOOD.

Method 1: MSJ’s Universal Life Energy Clearing Code

Look for a quiet place where you can freely relax. Wait a few moments until you are fully settled and in a relaxed state.

I wrote this ULE clearing code because I believe that the Universal Life Energy (or Chi, or Prana, or Qi) contains the universe’s highest frequencies to eliminate all the negative blocks in your body and subconscious.

To start clearing, look for a quiet place where you can freely relax. Wait a few moments until you are fully settled and in a relaxed state.

Now, bring in your mind a specific FLB about a particular subject or area in your life.

Notice the kind of feeling that this false, limiting belief gives you.

Notice if you feel any energy blocks in your physical body. Nothing any pains that make you feel uncomfortable.

Allow this feeling to come to you. Do not judge it, do not resist it, do not wonder about it, and do not add meaning to it. Simply allow yourself to feel it wholly and completely. Let it flow effortlessly into you.

It doesn’t have to be a strong feeling. Whatever it makes you feel, just welcome the feeling.

Then, ask yourself:

“Is it okay to feel this way?”

“Do I need this feeling with me?”

“Can I let go of this feeling?”

Answer these questions with a yes or a no. Both answers are acceptable. No need to overthink. Just answer whatever comes to your mind first.

One you already answered the question, ask yourself,

“Am I willing to let this feeling go?”

Just answer with a yes or a no. No need to deliberate. No need to dwell on the question. No need to overthink.

Once you already answered the question, ask yourself:

“When? When can I let this feeling go?”

Then, ask yourself:

“Can I let this feeling go NOW?”

The next step is to slowly let go of this feeling…

Release it from your body…

Continue to release it until you feel your body becoming lighter…

See and feel all these negative feelings leave your body…

Your body feels lighter and lighter as you let go of this energy block…

Then, repeat these words:

I choose to allow the highest vibrations and frequencies of Universal Life Energy or Source to open my energy fields. I allow the Universal Life Energy to create a shift in my vibrations and consciousness.

I choose to allow the highest vibrations and frequencies of Universal Life Energy or Source to manifest, with the help of my subconscious mind, to clear my false, limiting beliefs and all beliefs

I acquired and did not have control over.

I choose to clear all attachments and karma that I did not choose.

I choose to clear all low frequencies and negative feelings in my life.

I choose to transmute all negative energy patterns into clean and clear energy right now.

I choose to allow the highest vibrations and frequencies of Universal Life Energy or Source to flow within me. I choose to release all emotional traumas from the past. I choose to release all issues of abandonment. I choose to release all issues of feeling unloved.

I choose to release the feelings of loneliness, aloneness, and separation.

I choose to affirm the limitless power of Universal Life Energy or Source within me. I choose to clear all energies of victimization and drama. I choose to process them out and release them right now.

I choose to use the power and limitless ability of Universal Life Energy or Source to reframe and reprogram any timelines that block my best self and my best life right now.

I choose to use the power and limitless ability of Universal Life Energy or Source to permanently release all the negative consequences of my past. I choose to close the books of negativity. I choose to transmute the negativity into joy and love. I choose to write a new story from this moment on.

I choose to use the power and limitless ability of Universal Life Energy or Source to permanently release all the negative effects of past traumas. I choose to leave all the negativity and unhealthy episodes of my life behind me. I choose to close the books of negativity.

I choose to use the power and limitless ability of Universal Life Energy to transmute all energy blocks caused by my false, limiting beliefs into love, joy, and peace. I transmute from all directions, all spaces, all times, all dimensions, all planes of existence, and all lifetimes.

I choose to use the power and limitless ability of Universal Life Energy to transmute the energies that separate me from it into complete oneness with it. I transmute from all directions, all spaces, all times, all dimensions, all planes of existence, and all lifetimes.

I choose to use the power and limitless ability of Universal Life Energy to transmute anything and everything that inhibits or stops me from absorbing the highest and best frequencies of the universe.

I choose to activate the free-flowing abundance of Universal Life Energy in me that is inherent in every molecule of the universe, both seen and unseen, and let it flow into every fiber of my being.

I choose to activate the healing rays of Universal Life Energy in me and spiral them into my physical body, into each cell, to heal any part that is broken, bruised, hurt, and any part that needs it — known or unknown.

I choose to activate and awaken the power and natural healing abilities of my immune system and body to repair all of its parts now.

I choose to use the limitless power and healing abilities of Universal Life Energy in me to clear all cellular memories and imprints from several generations that passed. I clear all memories of frequencies and energy patterns that negatively affect me and no longer serve me in this dimension, plane, and lifetime.

I choose to use the limitless power and healing abilities of Universal Life Energy in me to clear all cellular memories, frequencies, and energy patterns that have kept me in bondage until now.

I choose to call in the highest and divine vibrations of Universal Life Energy in me to create a vortex of this energy around me right now.  This vortex forms a bright light that surrounds me now. This bright light burns up any negative cellular memories and traumas that are stuck in my energy fields and in the muscles and tissues of my body.

I choose to call in the highest and divine vibrations and frequencies of Universal Life Energy in me to heal, clear up, clean up and repair the cellular memories and genetic codes on my mother’s and father’s side, in all directions, all spaces, all times, all dimensions, all planes of existence, and all lifetimes.

I choose to call in the highest and divine vibrations and frequencies of Universal Life Energy in me to clean up my RNA and DNA.  I let the Universal Life Energy flow down, into, and within the emotional essence of my genetic coding and rewrite it to reflect the best version of me that I came to be and express.

I choose to release all core patterns ingrained and encoded in my frequencies now.

I now choose to use the limitless power and healing abilities of Universal Life Energy in me to allow myself to be rewired and reprogrammed to allow joy, ease, ecstasy, unconditional love, fun, friendship, partnership, romantic happiness, companionship, blessings, and infinite, limitless abundance to its full expression to flow in my boy and life beginning now for the rest of my life and that of my genetic lineage in all time, all space, all planes, and all dimensions.

I choose to let go of anything and everything that no longer serves me in this lifetime and beyond.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. So be it. It is done.

Repeat this process for other false, limiting beliefs until you feel better and lighter.

Method 2: MSJ’s Unconditional Love Clearing Code

Imagine a bright ball of light hovering above you. Imagine that this light represents love, and love is the truth.

Now, look up, feel the warmth of the light, and connect with love.

Imagine the ball of light enter your head and connecting you to love. Feel its warmth as it goes inside your head.

Connect to the love light by feeling the love in your heart. Breathe deeply as you internalize and center yourself on the feeling of love.

Realize that love is the truth, and when you connect to love, you connect to the truth of who you are.

Allow this love to flow through your eyes, so you can see the truth of who you are. See that you are loved, you are wanted, you are priceless, and you are supported.

Let the energy of love flow through your ears so you can hear love, and you can hear guidance. Hear the words of comfort, praise, assurance, and affirmation that you are loved.

Let the energy of love flow through your throat, feel its warmth open up the brilliant connection between your heart and your head.

Now,  allow the energy to flow through your heart, opening it up so you can feel love and you can feel the truth.

Allow this energy to flow through your solar plexus (or the area below your stomach) washing away worry, guilt, fear, shame, and other negative emotions.

Now, the light flows through your hip and stomach area. Feel the energy wash away the feeling of powerlessness, loss of confidence, and weakness.

Then, let love enter your root chakra (or the base of your spine), opening it up so you can stand in your new reality, and in love.

Love flows down to your knees, your legs, your calves, and your feet, it wraps your entirety.

Now, imagine the earth rotating slowly, secured in its place in the universe. Connect to the planet’s calming and unconditional energy.

Allow the earth to give something back to you, imagine it sending a powerful beam of light towards you, coming both from above your head and below your feet.

Imagine this liquid energy vibrate at the highest frequency, at the highest consciousness. Then see both light meet at the center of your heart and see it slowly filling your heart with the highest energy of love.

Gently say to yourself:

I love myself. I love myself. I love myself. I am open to receiving more love.

Then see this light add more and more love to your heart until it overflows,  your glow growing bigger, increasing to 5 feet around you, 10 feet around you, 20 feet, see this light all around you.

You are now connected to the most powerful frequency of the universe: The frequency of love.

Now, think of a time you felt you were not loved. Usually, this is in the first four years of your life.

At what age did you first feel that you were not loved?

Who made you feel unloved? Was it yourself, your mom, your dad, or someone else like your teacher, grandma or grandpa?

If it’s from your mom, ask yourself, what was your mom’s emotions about love?

If it’s from your dad, ask yourself, what was your dad’s emotions about love?

If it’s from any of your grandparents, ask yourself, what were their emotions about love?

These people who made you feel unloved, what were their stories about love?

Did your mom or dad or grandparent have a happy or difficult childhood?

Did their parents love them?

It is important to know because this false limiting belief about love is passed on from one generation to another.

Did they have good role models when it comes to love? Did healthy relationships surround them? Did they have false and limiting beliefs about love because of broken relationships in the family?

Then ask yourself: at what age did you duplicate and play out this pattern?

Was it during the first seven years of your life? Was it in grade school? Was it during your teenage years?

As you recall the specific memory associated with not feeling loved, notice any heavy sensations in your body.

You may notice a shift of energy in various places in your body, like your shoulders, your back, or other parts of your body. You’ll feel pain and heaviness in these parts.

Don’t analyze the energy blocks– just notice the location of the stuck areas. Your perceptions may be quite subtle at first, and this is OK, but know that these are where your beliefs of feeling unloved are locked up in all these years.

Now, bring a lot of light by imagining these parts being covered by the bright light of love energy.

Now, let’s transmute or transform these negative energy blocks into healing blocks of love.

See these energy blocks being transmitted across all times, dimensions, space, and reality.

Imagine gently, yet mindfully: Lift the energy block out of your body and place them away from your body.

Just look at it, or sense the block. No need to add meaning to it, no need to add labels. No judgment; just be aware that you have lifted it out of your body.

Just feel neutral about the energy block and avoid any reactive or dramatic response. Know that the energy block is mutable, you have the power to change it.

Believe in your ability to change the block from negative to positive. As you focus on the block, focus on taking away its negativity.

To make this effect even stronger, affirm as you do this:

I am powerful, and I am loved. I transmute this energy. This negative energy is dissolving now.

Repeat and visualize as much as you need until the energy block loses its potency. Then, it’s time to release this energy into the universe. Gently repeat to yourself:

I release this energy into the universe.

While saying this affirmation, imagine yourself spreading the melted energy all over the universe.  Relax and focus on the act of releasing the energy block.

See the energy become lighter as you easily spread the last remaining particles all around the universe.

Imagine massaging with your “clean” energy the part of your body or aura that used to have the energy block.

It is now an empty space, a void ready to be filled with positivity and love. Massage the area using your good energy as you gently say to it:

You are better now. You are loved. You are well.

Imagine the energy in your body shift as you massage the part where the block used to be.

Even if it’s all an imaginal act, know that the energies in the universe are real and you are healing yourself.

Now, smooth out that area of your body with your energy. Just imagine the flow of your energy flowing calmly throughout you. No voids, no lumps, no blockage. Just smoothen your whole aura.

While doing this, repeat to yourself:

I am free from negativity. My body and energy are better now. I affirm love, peace, and joy.

Now, focus on the shifts in your body. Determine if there are still parts of you that feel blocked. If so, repeat the process as needed. Some may feel better soon after the first try, while others might need a few more rounds to remove all the blocks.

The important part is knowing that you have complete control over your energy. You can always heal and rejuvenate your aura so that love can freely and unconditionally flow through you.

Empowerment – Introduction to Community Psychology
Step 5: Introduce Positive and Empowering Beliefs to Your Subconscious

Once you are clear about the kind of life you want, the next step is to imprint these new and empowering suggestions into your subconscious mind.

You can achieve this through different modes of “self-influence” or do-it-yourself subconscious reprogramming techniques.

Once you have successfully imprinted these new positive and empowering suggestions, they will become part of your permanent beliefs.

These new beliefs will influence the meaning that you will start to attach to things around you.

You will cease to feel hopeless, sad, anxious, and fearful of manifesting your best self and your best life!

As all is mind, the way your desire will manifest is through the mind first and foremost. That aspect of the mind that’s responsible for manifesting all beliefs in physical reality is the subconscious mind.

Your new stored beliefs then, when imprinted in your subconscious and given substance using good feelings, will manifest in your physical reality.

Here are some of the techniques that you can use to reprogram your subconscious mind:

1. Listen to Subliminal Audio Programs

To address these FLBs, you need to attack it at its very base which is in your subconscious mind.

Accessing your subconscious mind through meditation and visualization techniques is highly effective, but can be quite a challenge for beginners. This is how subliminal audio programs come in handy.

Subliminal audio programs are audio recordings of positive and empowering suggestions, messages and affirmations that a person listens to so that the suggestions contained in the recording will replace the FLBs stored in their subconscious.

While a typical recording of a song will have the instrumental back-up recorded on one frequency and the singer’s voice on another, the same principle applies to subliminals, but with one major difference.

With subliminals, you either have soothing sounds, like a trickling stream or lapping ocean waves, or music, which is recorded on a low, audible frequency. On the other hand, the suggestions and affirmations are recorded on a higher, non-audible frequency that you will not be able to hear them.

Why are subliminal audio programs recorded in this manner?

The trick is that the sounds and music are intended to “distract” the conscious mind. This opens up the “hearing” or “awareness” of the subconscious mind to the messages and affirmations that are recorded at negative decibels.

With repeated listening to subliminal audio programs, you gradually replace the FLBs that are stored in your subconscious.

How we make our subliminal audio programs at Must Spark Joy

There are a host of other subliminal programs out there but be wary of incorrect subliminals.

Example, I see “silent subliminal out there. The thing is, there is no completely “silent” subliminal nor should the affirmations be spoken in a fast or high speed.  Take note of these kinds of subliminal programs which will have absolutely no effect (or worse, the opposite effect!) on your goal to manifest your best self and your dream life!

I care so much about the process of producing these subliminals audio programs that my team and I had gone through several iterations before we came up with our current formula.

We use ReproSync Sound Technology to produce our subliminal audio programs. All suggestions are based on my knowledge of subconscious reprogramming techniques, conscious creation, and universal laws.

The suggestions and affirmations contained in each recording target the most common FLBs in each aspect of your life.

We incorporate our Universal Mind (UM) affirmations, Unconditional Love (UL) affirmations, and closing affirmations in every subliminal audio program so that you vibrate with Unconditional Love before you even begin to absorb the affirmations about manifesting your loved one back.

These are usually missing in other subliminals in the market.

We include Solfeggio frequencies, which are tones used in sacred music, including Gregorian chants. The chants and their special sounds are believed to impart spiritual blessings when sung in harmony and help balance your energy and keep your body, mind, and spirit in perfect harmony.

In addition to Solfeggio frequencies, we also include binaural beats in SELECT subliminals to help bring your mind into alpha or meditative state, which is the most ideal state for reprogramming your subconscious.

2. Perform Self-Hypnosis

Hypnosis allows you to make beneficial changes in the very depths of your Subconscious Mind. By entering the state of hypnosis or meditative state, you can safely bypass the Conscious Mind and ‘reprogram’ the subconscious so that it takes positive, empowering, and better ideas.

Anyone of all ages can benefit from hypnosis. If you find yourself stuck in a rut and afraid to take the first steps to make your dream a reality, you are manifesting your deep-seated FLBs.

This means that your subconscious thoughts are more potent and powerful than your conscious wishes and must be replaced so that you can finally get yourself out of the rut and be more courageous to take the necessary first steps to achieve your goals.

Hypnosis, like subliminal audio programs, can help you override these FLBs stored in your subconscious or cancel them out.

There are so many misconceptions about hypnosis like it is used to make people do things against their will. This only happens when the suggestions imprinted in your subconscious are against your will or not useful to you.

It is therefore important to make sure that you have the right suggestions being used to reprogram your subconscious mind and that these suggestions are positive, useful, and beneficial to you.

In-person hypnosis with a hypnotherapist can be time-consuming and expensive, so the best alternatives are hypnosis audio programs. The benefits of hypnosis audios are it’s affordable and cheap, you can bring it anywhere with you, you can play it at any time, you can listen to it at the comfort of your home, and you don’t have to see a hypnotherapist every time you want a hypnotherapy “session”.

In the last couple years, I bought hypnosis audio programs from different websites, and I find the hypnosis audio programs written, developed, and produced by Roger Elliott and Mark Tyrrell of Uncommon Knowledge to be the best out there. Roger and Mark are experts in the field of hypnotherapy who have trained over 24,000 people at face-to-face events.

Their hypnosis MP3s helped me cure some of my deep-seated issues, fears, and phobias, as well as address many of my FLBs about myself and my desires.

3. Visualize Your Desired Outcome

Visualization is my favorite subconscious reprogramming technique because it involves actively using your mind to design and create your desire. With years of practice, whenever I visualize now, it manifests almost immediately.

Visualization takes time and effort to master, so the results may not come as fast for other people. Before I became good at visualization, I developed my mental focus through meditation.

By meditating at least twice a day for at least 20 minutes per session, I can now easily get into alpha or meditative state, which is A MUST for your visualization to be effective.

But what exactly happens to your mind when you visualize?

When you visualize a mental image, your conscious mind sees a complete picture of everything happening all at once.

When you focus your consciousness on this mental picture for a period of time, your conscious mind will send a signal to your subconscious mind that this is your current reality.

Note that the subconscious doesn’t know whether the mental image is real or not. It only takes into consideration what the conscious mind focuses on and the feelings that come with the mental image.

The more frequent the thought-feeling combination appears, the more the subconscious is driven to make this happen in your physical reality. This is how habits and behaviors are formed.

A mental image that you visualize ALSO radiates from your mind and transmitted to other people’s minds. Whoever can pick up the mental image and feels compelled to respond to it subconsciously will help you fulfill your desire. This is how synchronicities happen.

We are all connected through the Universal Mind. Each thought, action, and event in the universe is connected and influences each other.

4. Repeat Affirmations

Another technique to reprogram your subconscious mind is through positive self-talk or affirmations.

The important role affirmations play is to counter your FLBs with new beliefs that help bring out the positive aspects of yourself and your life.

Affirmations create a powerful high frequency that harmonizes with the high, creative frequency of UNCONDITIONAL LOVE emitted by the Universal Mind.

What Are Affirmations and How They Work

Affirmations are merely suggestions or messages that you read or listen to. These affirmations are the exact opposite of your FLBs. The reason for this is that they intend to replace the FLBs stored in your Subconscious Mind.

Your FLBs are the result of years of constant and impactful negative experiences. One of the most effective ways to relinquish these beliefs is to inculcate positive statements by REPEATEDLY reading, reciting, or listening to affirmations.

As you focus on the positive and empowering words about yourself and your life,  your conscious mind will send these words to be recorded by your subconscious mind.

As your subconscious recognizes these affirmations as NEW TRUTHS, it throws out the old burdensome FLBs. Therefore, no matter how old your FLBs may be, you can always overcome them and have a new positive set of truths that will help you create the best kind of life you desire.

As you free your mind of the burdens of FLBs, you respond with positive feelings, not only of relief, but also of joy, happiness, love, excitement, and empowerment. When you have this kind of self-sufficiency, you become better at creating and manifesting all that you want.

Lies Vs. Truths

You may have read from other sources that affirmations don’t work. This is mainly due to the fact that your conscious mind is busy thinking of these affirmations as lies because they do not reflect the reality you have.

In fact, there are times when affirmations make things worse especially when the person is going through some tough times. To them, the more they write or recite affirmations, the more they develop negative feelings about themselves.

It is important to understand that FLBs are also based on lies that you acquired from the beliefs of others.

You may have been led to believe that you are powerless over your situation, that you are too weak, too cluttered in your thinking, or too reckless to achieve anything.

This description of yourself gets repeated so often that you start to see it as your truth. You’re too poor to afford anything or don’t have the proper education to get your dream job.

So, you feel guilty about buying anything expensive and you also tend to apply for jobs that don’t pay much.

The thing is this idea of who you are started as nothing more than a statement which was completely neutral and completely changeable.

In other words, the statement was nothing more than just a “lie” that you could have chosen not to believe.

The truth is you can improve your current financial status, be smart and talented enough to land your dream job and be the most desirable and magnetic person anyone has ever met.

With just a flick of a switch, you could have chosen to discard the negative and make room for the positive. Yet, many people continue to cling to their FLBs like lifelines.

Affirmations will help you eliminate the lies of your FLBs and build a solid foundation for positive and empowering truths.

Using affirmations as your subconscious reprogramming technique requires patience and consistency.

Just as you need to plan, draft, and create a building piece by piece, you have to be gradual and progressive in manifesting your new reality. Focus on the process of planning, drafting, and building it piece by piece.

When doing affirmations for the first time, I highly recommend that you remove anything that reflects the reality that you do not want.

If you want to manifest your dream job, don’t focus on being jobless. If you want to manifest your dream trip, do not focus on not being able to afford the flights and hotel accommodations. If you want to manifest your perfect partner, do not focus on feeling inadequate or undesirable.

The most crucial part of using affirmations is to understand the meaning behind each affirmation.

When the affirmation says, “I can afford anything that I want,” reflect on the true meaning of this statement and imagine yourself being able to afford absolutely anything that you desire!

Imagine spending money on what you love without looking at the price tags. Imagine what it’s like to have enough money to buy your dream house, your dream car, and a trip around the world! Imagine and feel it as real as possible.

When you use affirmations to introduce new beliefs in your system and yet choose to focus on your current reality that you don’t want, you will not see positive changes in your life because your negative feelings about your current reality immediately counter the positive feelings that affirmations bring.

So, prepare to be as solitary with your affirmations as much possible. You don’t need the outside world to affirm any of the statements. All you need is to understand the meaning of these affirmations and feel as if they are happening right now!

To write your own affirmations, they should be the direct opposite of YOUR existing FLBs so that they can be counteracted.

For 30 days, you must read your list of positive affirmations while in a sleepy state which is as soon as you wake up in the morning, before you get up from bed, and before you go to sleep at night.

Your conscious mind is not “fully awake” when you’re in a sleepy state, so your subconscious is entirely open to the affirmations.

You can also make copies of your affirmations list and pin them on your desk or a small private message board. This way, you can read your affirmations at any time.

You can also make an audio recording of your affirmations. Make sure that you listen to your recording at the same times mentioned above.

What Is Conscious Creation? - Big Picture Questions
Step 6: Get Consistent Results Through Conscious Creation

Now that you have successfully reprogrammed your subconscious mind, you need to make sure that you reap the benefits of your positive and empowering beliefs for a long time.

To make sure you don’t fall into your old patterns of negative inner narratives that result in self-sabotage and inconsistent results, here are some techniques that can help you stay on track so you can enjoy a lifetime of positive results.

1. Focused Attention

To achieve lasting results, you need to learn to focus your attention or be mindful of the things that you do on a daily basis.

Let’s go back to how the mind works:

The conscious mind is the logical aspect of the min that has the power to choose.

It chooses the books you want to read, the place you want to go to, your partner in life, the kind of car you want to drive, etc. It also chooses what to focus on at any given time and on a daily basis.

The subconscious mind accepts what your conscious mind consistently focuses on. Without the conscious mind’s power to choose, your subconscious mind executes whatever default beliefs that are stored in it.

After you’ve successfully reprogrammed your subconscious mind, it is important to focus only on the positive aspects of yourself and your life. In this way, your subconscious will continue to accept and affirm these thoughts as your new truths and give you more of it.

Remember, your subconscious mind does not consider whether your thoughts are good or bad, true or false. It responds mainly on what your conscious mind focuses on and what you feel when you focus on a specific mental image.

For example, if you consciously assume that something is true and feel strongly that it is true — even though it may be false — your subconscious mind will accept it as true and proceed to bring about results that must necessarily follow because you consciously assumed it to be true.

2. Stop Overthinking

Another culprit for making you feel “stuck” is the habit of thinking too much. It is when you excessively discuss and analyze things and ideas in your mind that you end up confused or doubtful.

Other examples of overthinking include thinking about the meaning of what the other person said, or thinking of what you did or didn’t do to change a situation.

When you spend too much time analyzing and worrying about every problem you have, you have less time to focus on the solutions. Instead of taking action, you are stuck in your endless sea of thoughts that don’t really serve you in the long run.

The more you think of the same thoughts, the more you burden your mind with worries, doubts, and even fear that significantly weaken your motivation and ability to take action.

How to Quit Thinking Too Much

To reduce overthinking, try to be aware of the thoughts that pass through your mind on a daily basis and ask yourself if you think too much of the same thing.

Ask yourself if overthinking has become your habit. If this problem exists, then you know that you need to solve it.

Be quick to decide on small and unimportant decisions. Don’t spend too much time overthinking it. Just pick an option and take action.

An example is whether or not you’ll see a movie with a friend this weekend, what to eat for dinner, what to wear for work, etc.

The exceptions are important decisions like relocating to another city, quitting your job, breaking up with your partner, or buying a house.

If you can’t stop thinking about something that happened in the past, focus your attention on what is going on around you.

If you are at the gym, focus on your exercise routines and the feeling of reaching your fitness goals.

If you are at a party, enjoy the occasion with friends or family.

If you are at the beach, focus on being relaxed under the sun and appreciate the crystal-clear waters.

Consistently question the importance and the benefits of your thoughts.

Do these thoughts have any value for me?

Are these helpful in any way?

What will I benefit from thinking about it too much?

Do these thoughts matter in the grand scheme of things?

Will these thoughts matter after one week or one month?

Your answers will help you discard these thoughts or continue thinking of them.

Some thoughts will continue to return and persist. When this happens, refocus your attention on something positive around you. Practice doing this until the thoughts stop reappearing in your mind.

MKS: “Start Your Hero’s Journey”

Hero's Journey 101: Definition and Step-by-Step Guide (With Checklist!)

Your Hero’s Journey

The Master Key Experience opened my mind to one of my favorite concepts. It is Joseph Campbell’s Hero’s Journey. In a nutshell, Campbell found a common thread in all of our stories. From Jesus to Luke Skywalker to the guy who delivers your mail.

The Hero’s Journey concept can be seen in all myths, legends, stories, movies and books. Even in your life whether you know it or not.

The Hero’s Journey concept was introduced in Campbell’s book “The Hero with a Thousand Faces.”  Hero’s Journey is the Road Less Travelled. Many hear the call but few heed it and that is why it is called the Hero’s Journey.

Stages of the Hero’s Journey

The Master Key Experience taught me there are twelve steps to the hero’s journey, and each step falls into one of three stages.

  • Stage 1: Departure – This includes steps 1, 2, 3, and 4. During this stage, the hero is preparing for his quest.
  • Stage 2: Initiation – This begins with step 5 as the hero crosses the first threshold, and it ends with step 10 as the hero begins the road back.
  • Stage 3: Return – Beginning with step 10 as the hero begins the road back, this stage continues through the end of the story.

The Master Key Experience taught me the 12 Hero’s Journey Steps 1. Ordinary World 2. Call to Adventure 3. Refusal of the Call 4. Meeting the Mentor 5. Crossing the First Threshold 6. Tests, Allies, Enemies 7. Approach to the Inmost Cave 8. Ordeal 9. Reward (Seizing the Sword) 10. The Road Back 11. Resurrection 12. Return with the Elixir. The Master Key Experience taught me how to apply these steps to change my future life.

The Master Key Experience advises and teaches us that the way to “Meet Your Future Self on Your Hero’s Journey” is to apply certain requirements on a weekly basis. The Master Key Experience taught me how to use the following as a tool to coach myself or others.

  1. Read : the Og Mandino, my Press Release, my DMP and Movie Trailer,my Blueprint Builder, the Master Key chapter for this week, my service-chore-DMP-Giving-Receiving Cards, my Giving and Receiving card, and the 7 Day Mental Diet, read the Guy/Gail in the Glass and etc.
  2. Other recommended activities to “Meet Your Future Self” is to: Have no Opinions, Listen to my Recordings, Create a Master Mind Alliance with one other person, Schedule time with my family, Focus on Linking and connecting as described in the MKE Webinar, Get into the Mastermind area and Mastermind, Write my Blog entry, Visit other blogs of the MKMMA members “group” Always check the New MKE Webinar/News tab, Sit for 15 Minutes and focusing on “Meeting Your Future Self” and Comple the surveys

The Master Key Experience taught me:

[1]: We all have —A call to adventure-The Hero’s Journey.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is image-102.png

Something in our life calls us to do something, go somewhere, execute some type of action. Maybe it’s starting a small business or breaking up with someone. Quitting a job. Moving to a new city. Changing careers. But it’s a call that we decide to answer.

Entering the unknown.

That action throws us into a new world. Now we’re making money in our small business. Now we’re finally doing something we love. Now we’re in a new city. Now we’re starting a new relationship. Now we’re starting a new career path. Now we’re a parent.

[2]: Challenges and temptations.

With every new world comes new challenges. Dealing with new people. Being alone. Making new friends. Fighting for survival. Learning how to live off a new budget. Living with someone. Showing yourself for the first time.

[3]: Slaying my dragon.

Now comes the thing we must overcome to be a better version of us. This is something we have probably run from most of our life. It’s what scares us the most.

[4]: Death and rebirth.

Once we slay our dragon, we are changed. Slaying our dragon can be an internal thing or an external thing but there is always an internal shift. We become someone different. A part of us dies and we are reborn. Then coming back to our old environment, changed and to share our story.  Coming full circle, changed, different, a new person.

The Hero's Journey: Discover Yourself - Natural Happiness

The Master Key Experience taught me how to use this life changing philosophy in my life. It also taught me how to use it in the lives of others.

It taught me the steps to complete my Hero’s Journey.

  1. Learn and Understand this concept.

It will be helpful to see that you are on a journey.

Most of us get stuck because we don’t see anything except what’s happening right in front of us. We’re in the trenches and can’t see anything else and don’t believe we’re going anywhere.

Describing the process of the journey, literally drawing it out on a piece of paper using your story can inject hope. You can pull back and see light at the end of the dark tunnel. You can see that whatever you’re going through is temporary and has meaning. And that’s the powerful piece. Once you are able to find meaning in something, it’s much easier to accept, lean in, and push through.

  • Plug you story into the Hero’s Journey.

Ask yourself where you’re at in their circle. What was you call to adventure?

What is you dragon? ← this is what you want to get to. You may not know. So you will need process it. You may have many dragons. Remember, your dragon will always lead to an internal fear or false belief. Fear of intimacy. Fear of failure. I’m not good enough. Smart enough. Pretty enough. Talented enough. Worthy enough.

  • Ask yourself what it would look like to slay your dragon.

What does it look like in action? What do you need to do? End a relationship? Or maybe start one? Do you need to conquer a fear? Do you need to dissolve a false belief? Overcome an addiction? Do you need to do in action to slay you dragon? Make sure you answer this question. You can give yourself suggestions but make sure you answer it. It’s your journey.

  • Ask yourself what’s on the other side when you slay your dragon.

What would happen if you slayed your dragon? How would you feel? Who would you be? How would this change ripple into all areas of your life? We want you to imagine and see what’s on the other side.

  • Ask yourself what’s at stake if you don’t slay the dragon?

Make sure you answer it, not just think about it. You want yourself to say it loud. There is tremendous power in announcing something. These are all doors open for more conversation and processing.

As you go through your Hero’s Journey and as you answer the questions, what’s created is your “treatment” or action plan. Now all you have to do is let us support you and make you accountable.

  • Considerations
A Deep Dive Into the Hero's Journey - DIY MFA

Know you can have a Hero’s Journey every day. Especially the internal ones. Your dragon can be speaking up at work, finally getting into the gym, eating better, confronting someone who has hurt you.

We are all on a journey. Each and every day. There is a circle, a cycle, a process.
Once you realize this, you see that life isn’t just a spinning dryer of turbulence.

Taking the Hero’s Journey will help you pick up your sword and embark on your journey.  Knowing there is a better us on the other side.

In order to give depth and meaning to your hero’s journey as a whole, you must begin by establishing the hero’s known world. Readers need to see who the hero is before their journey begins, how they live, and why it is they’re unsatisfied with their life as is.

The Hero’s Journey is circular in structure, meaning the Chosen One’s journey typically ends where it begins, though the journey itself will leave you forever changed. The structure introduces the Chosen One in your known world (i.e. a familiar place) before inviting them into an unknown (i.e. unfamiliar) world rife with danger.

The Journey starts with the life that we already know. Then something happens; a bankruptcy, a midlife meltdown, a divorce, a death in the family or the uncovering of a past traumatic event that becomes the catalyst that calls us to action so that we can step into the unknown.

We reach surrender point which is the place where we know we just cannot go on and we realize that something has to change. A piece of the armor that we built around us to hide ourselves is broken away and perhaps for the first time in a lifetime we get to glimpse the magnificence that we were born with.

At this point we realize that the armor would never satisfy us anymore and we become driven to keep breaking off layers.  We may question why we were put on earth and what our real Purpose is.

After facing certain tests and challenges we become initiated into a new way of thinking and being. During the adventure we may discover hidden truths, values or strengths that we’ve blocked for a very long time.

The hero’s journey then begins to move into transformation. We transform from what we were told to be by our parents, teachers, religious leaders and our governments and we start to think for ourselves. We move into creating the lives we truly want.

At this part of the Hero’s Journey we become “transparent to the transcendent.” We get to become agents of change, creation and causation as our inner light shines through. This is the place that most of the enlightened ones talked about. This is the place of bliss or living from the within, out.

It takes courage to face our demons and even more courage to swing the sword. When we swing the sword we may realize that the dragon was really us and that so much of our story was “Self Created Pain.” It was really us who was preventing ourselves from our own potential. During the call to adventure we may realize that we always had the answers and that they had just been hidden from view. We realize that we needed to go through the dark so that we could return to the light.

It takes work. We’ve been told for so long what to accept and what is normal and how we need to fit in with society and the times. We were taught that we could be whatever we wanted to be “as long” as we followed the rules.  The Hero’s Journey is about living a self approved, self appointed and self directed life.

Start your Hero’s Journey!

The Hero's Journey - 10/18/20 — Apex Community Church

The Master Key Experience taught me Seven Laws of the Mind to Help Me on My Hero’s Journey.

Prosperity coach Mark Januszewski said to me when I was feeling a little overwhelmed,  “Life will be more fun with each passing day when you complete your Hero’s Journey.

When you find that spot between Steps 1. Ordinary World 2. Call to Adventure youo are about to receive your great gift of the Hero’s Journey adventure.

The Carpenter had it figured out when he said over 2000 years ago “according to your faith, be it unto you”

Here are the Seven Laws of the Mind, the practice of which will help you on your Hero’s Journey. This is a great way to develop specialized knowledge and win your Hero’s Journey.

LAW OF SUBSTITUTION

We cannot think about 2 things at the same time. If a negative thought enters your mind – try to think about Source/Universe/Higher Power/God instead.

If that is too big a reach at the time, use any fond memory or other pleasant thought. The Master Teacher, said, “Resist not evil” – meaning do not resist it but instead turn from it and think about something else instead.

LAW OF RELAXATION

Mental effort defeats itself – exactly the opposite of physical effort. A relaxed, calm state of mind is the only doorway to progress mentally. Relaxation of thought is the only access to Infinite Intelligence.

LAW OF PRACTICE

Practice makes perfect. The 5Ps – Perfect Practice Prevents Poor Performance. Our bewilderment of magnificence in others, upon further inspection you will find most of it is practice, the rest of it is work. With practice of the correct things, we improve – on the other 6 Laws of the mind.

LAW OF FORGIVENESS

To access the Divine and connect the subconscious to the Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent Creator we must forgive everyone and anyone to clear the channel. There can be no connection to the Divine mind where anger or resentment against a brother or sister, justified or not, exists.

LAW OF DUAL THOUGHT

Thought is a combination of ideation and feeling. We can attach any feeling to a thought we want.

LAW OF SUBCONSCIOUS

As soon as the subconscious accepts the idea it becomes a demand and it works constantly, 24-7, to manifest demand – accessing a reservoir of infinite resources.

LAW OF GROWTH

Whatever we think about grows. What we forget atrophies.

Hero’s Journey – Step by Step

The 12 Hero’s Journey Steps: 1. The Master Key Experience teaches how to apply these 12 steps to change your future life if you will take your Hero’s Journey.

The 12 Hero’s Journey Steps Defined:

  1. Ordinary World: This step refers to the hero’s normal life at the start of the story, before the adventure begins. It’s the starting point, and it gives a glimpse into the character of the hero before the adventure begins. Often, this hero will change over the course of the story. We may see evidence of a fatal flaw in the hero at this early point in the story.
  2. Call to Adventure: The hero is faced with something that makes him begin his adventure. This might be a problem or a challenge he needs to overcome. In general, he must make a choice about whether to undertake the adventure.
  3. Refusal of the Call: The hero attempts to refuse the adventure because he is afraid. He may feel unprepared or inadequate, or he may not want to sacrifice what is being asked of him.
  4. Meeting With the Mentor: The hero encounters someone who can give him advice and ready him for the journey ahead. Acting as a mentor, this person imparts wisdom that may change the hero’s mind.
  5. Crossing the First Threshold: The hero leaves his ordinary world for the first time and crosses the threshold into adventure. This step may seem almost inevitable, but it also represents a choice the hero is making. It’s a door through which the hero must pass for the story to really begin.
  6. Tests, Allies, Enemies: The hero learns the rules of his new world. During this time, he endures tests of strength of will, meets friends, and comes face to face with foes. This period in his journey helps him define his relationship with other characters in the story. During this part of the journey, he learns who will help and who will hinder.
  7. Approach: Setbacks occur, sometimes causing the hero to try a new approach or adopt new ideas. This is a lesson in persistence for the hero. When he fails, he needs to try again. Often, the stakes are rising, and real overall failure becomes less of an option.
  8. Ordeal: The hero experiences a major hurdle or obstacle, such as a life or death crisis. He must come face to face with his weaknesses, and he must overcome them. This will be something he barely manages to accomplish.
  9. Reward: After surviving death, the hero earns his reward or accomplishes his goal. This is a moment of great success in the story. The hero is a changed person now, though he may not fully realize the extent of the change in his continued focus on the matter at hand.
  10. The Road Back: The hero begins his journey back to his ordinary life. In some ways, integrating back into his life will be a challenge. He is different now after his ordeal.
  11. Resurrection Hero: The hero faces a final test where everything is at stake, and he must use everything he has learned. This is where his personal changes prove useful. He is now ideally suited to overcoming the obstacles in front of him.
  12. Return With Elixir: The hero brings his knowledge or the “elixir” back to the ordinary world, where he applies it to help all who remain there. This is the true reward for his journey and transformation.

MKE Week 8: Your Absolute Power

A Night To Remember

Tina Lifford is the author of The Little Book of Big Lies: A Journey into Inner Fitness told me this story.

In the early 1990s, one fateful night while hanging out on the Santa Monica Pier with my friend Nirvana, a doorway to my Self opened and remains opened and thriving to this day.

Nirvana and I were walking past a shop, and I was drawn to a provocative poster in the window of the actress Nastassja Kinski lying nude and intertwined with a Burmese python. I gazed at it for maybe five minutes, locked in on every component of its composition.

The proximity of the snake’s tongue to Kinski’s ear made me stick my baby finger in my left ear and wiggle free of the willies that had crawled in.

That’s when I noticed that a small crowd had gathered in front of another poster. One of the gazers asked the friend she was with, “Can you see it?”

Everyone was tilting his or her head from one side to the other, clearly trying to find the “right” position. Another person excitedly said, “I see it!” Then another said, “I’m in!”

I asked Nirvana, “What are they looking at?”

He explained that “hidden” in the 2-D poster of a Paris street scene was a detailed 3-D experience of the same scene. If you looked at the poster long enough, from the right perspective, the flat, 2-D image literally “popped” into an intricate 3-D image.

After I had spent a few minutes tilting my head from one side to the other, grumbling, he reassured me, “It’s there. Keep looking. I saw it.”

I returned to the poster with fierce focus . . . nothing. I moved closer, hoping that would help me see what some of the others could see. Nothing. I backed away from it . . . still nothing. I was determined to stand there looking at that poster FOREVER if I had to.

Then it happened. Suddenly, the 3-D world popped into view for a second or two, long enough for me to know that what the others were saying was true.

I planted my feet and looked at the poster again. I surrendered to the idea that seeing the image was possible without me knowing how to make it happen. As I studied it, I had no doubt about the intricate world that was hidden in that piece of paper. I knew it was real. I looked at the Paris scene, knowing it would become three-dimensional. And it did.

I don’t remember my drive home. I was inside the world of that 3-D poster, walking its streets past shops and turning down corners. I was mesmerized by how detailed the 3-D version of the poster was and how one minute it was there, and the next second it had vanished from view and become a simple flat poster again.

Each time I had lost sight of the 3-D perception, it took a while for me to find my way back in. But each reentry took less time, and I could see the 3-D scene longer.

Seeing the 3-D image was, in part, due to a shift in my perception of the poster. From the moment I heard other people talking about something I could not see, my perception of life in general widened. I believed in a world I couldn’t see. And I trusted my ability to enter it.

The more glimpses I caught of that 3-D world, the more I looked for it and expected to see it. I became so committed to the 3-D image that I could not look at the poster as I had before. I knew it did not represent the whole truth. It was limited.

Of course, this is a metaphor for spiritual awakening. Spiritual teachers throughout the ages tell us there’s a bigger reality behind the world we see and that our problems and challenges are a matter of perception. Shift our perception, and we can change our world.

I began to see my sacred torture – my oldest most challenging personal issue – like I saw the 2-D poster…present, but not the truth.

I realized that my sacred torture had conditioned me to see myself in a two-dimensional way. I had come to expect, and make room for, the fear or discomfort associated with it: feeling a certain anxiety, or queasiness in the stomach, or other stress somewhere else in my body. I was living my life trapped in a 2-D image of myself, constantly surviving the disquiet that my sacred torture caused, letting it dictate when and with whom I felt safe.

On that pier, I was introduced to the idea of my thriving Self that was inside me waiting to be seen. However, to get to know this Self, I would have to challenge my 2-D vision of my Self.

That night I put my sacred torture on notice that I was ready to believe in a reality greater than it. I began to look at the old torture, fully expecting it to transform. And from that point forward, I practiced my resolve over and over again. I made a pact with my Self that whenever I started to forget that I am more powerful than my challenges, something would happen to remind me . . . and something always has.

This made me feel like the universe was listening to me and had my back. I got into the habit of no longer seeing my challenges and fears as fixed “forever” states. When the habit of thinking in my old way surfaced, I would shake my head “no” and correct my thinking.

Over time I began to see my challenges as overindulged thoughts in need of discipline. I began to give those old challenges less attention. Instead, I allowed myself to contemplate freedom from any burden.

A therapist once told me when something is chasing us in a dream, we should stop, turn around, and look at what is pursuing us. This advice is counterintuitive to how we usually deal with threatening things. We run. But when we can stop and let all the feelings we are running from catch up to us, this bold action dissolves the scary picture, changes the perspective, and drains the power out of the things we run from.

Seeing the poster image change from 2-D to 3-D taught me that a shift in perspective regarding any issue is possible.

Your sacred torture is a lie. Dismantling it is possible. Deconstruction starts with being courageous and remembering who you are.

Get to know Self through your imagination and visualization. Stand in front of your burdens, centered in your Self, and tell your small surviving self the truth: I am bigger than your small idea of me. I expect freedom. I will stand here for as long as it takes.

Your Hidden Power of Imagination

The Power Of Imagination: Ask, and Ye Shall Receive! - Project Yourself

According to the Master Key Experience imagination and visualization is when we form mental pictures of a future desired result, invention, business concept, service, organization, movement, etc.

Every great person has used the faculty of imagination and and visualization harnessed its power to accomplish what they desire. Imagination and visualization are two of the critical success factors in life, yet, sadly they often goes untapped for many of us.

The Power of Imagination. A fertile imagination is the source of all creative thinking, which is even more important than knowledge. It’s one of the main reasons why most people don’t succeed– they haven’t learned to use their creative potential.

The Power of Imagination reveals the part of spiritual life that is often shunned or closeted away because it may seem New Age or too unconventional. On the contrary, when believers use their imaginations to see beyond current circumstances into the realm where God paints pictures in their minds, healings are commonplace, goals are accomplished, dreams come true, and victories are celebrated!

According to the Master Key Experience the Power of Imagination is a way of being in the world that sets forces in motion that are FAR more powerful and productive than doing alone. Power by force is a very limited form of power. This is what “physical doing” is. Not that action isn’t required for producing results in life.

Imagination is one of the most powerful of all vibrations of Energy in the Universe. When considering imagination it must never be confused with mere fantasy, unreal thoughts or simply as a “figment of the imagination”, but rather as an extremely powerful, natural, God given ability that every single human being without any exception possesses.

According to the Master Key Experience the imagination is a powerful means for communicating truths about God, and so God shows an awesome regard for the imagination in His word. Because we are called to creativity, a working, gut-level understanding of the imagination is vital. It can be our greatest strength or our greatest weakness.

Imagination is the ability to develop a mental image of something that is not perceived through the five senses. It is the ability of the mind to build mental scenarios, objects or events that do not really exist or are not present, or have happened in the past.

The Master Key System

The Master Key System has been teaching me ways to develop getting to know my true self. According to the Master Key System imagination is the constructive form of thought which must precede every constructive form of action.

  • A builder cannot build a structure of any kind until he has first received the plans from the architect, and the architect must get them from his imagination
  • The Captain of Industry cannot build a giant corporation which may coordinate hundreds of smaller corporations and thousands of employees, and utilize millions of dollars of capital until he has first created the entire work in his imagination.
  • Objects in the material world are as clay in the potter’s hand; it is in the Master Mind that the real things are created, and it is by the use of the imagination the work is done. In order to cultivate the imagination it must be exercised. Exercise is necessary to cultivate mental muscle as well as physical muscle. It must be supplied with nourishment or it cannot grow.
  • It is the few who know that the things which they see are only effects, and understand the causes by which these effects were brought into existence.

How did the battleship come to be where it is?

Naval Expert: The USS Missouri Was the Most Dangerous Battleship Ever | The National Interest

Take the same position as heretofore and visualize a Battleship; see the grim
monster floating on the surface of the water; there appears to be no life anywhere about; all is silence; you know that by far the largest part of the vessel is under water; out of sight; you know that the ship is as large and as heavy as a twenty-story skyscraper; you know that there are hundreds of men ready to spring to their appointed task instantly; you know that every department is in charge of able, trained, skilled officials who have proven themselves competent to take charge of this marvelous piece of mechanism; you know that although it lies apparently oblivious to everything else, it has eyes which see everything for miles around, and nothing is permitted to escape its watchful vision; you know that while it appears quiet, submissive and innocent, it is prepared to hurl a steel projectile weighing thousands of pounds at an enemy many miles away; this and much more you can bring to mind with comparatively no effort whatever.

How did it come into existence in the first place?

All of this you want to know if you are a careful observer. Follow the great steel plates through the foundries, see the thousands of men employed in their production; go still further back, and see the ore as it comes from the mine, see it loaded on barges or cars, see it melted and properly treated.

Go back still further.

See the architect and engineers who planned the vessel; let the thought carry you back still further in order to determine why they planneg the vessel; you will see that you are now so far back that the vessel is something intangible, it no longer exists, it is now only a thought existing in the brain of the architect; but from where did the order come to plan the vessel?

Probably from the Secretary of Defense; but probably this vessel was planned long before the war was thought of, and that Congress had to pass a bill appropriating the money; possibly there was opposition, and speeches for or against the bill.

Whom do these Congressmen represent? They represent you and me, so that our line of thought begins with the Battleship and ends with ourselves, and we find in the last analysis that our own thought is responsible for this and many other things, of which we seldom think, and a little further reflection will develop the most important fact of all and that is, if someone had not discovered the law by which this tremendous mass of steel and iron could be made to float upon the water, instead of immediately going to the bottom, the battleship could not have come into existence at all.

This law is that, “the specific gravity of any substance is the weight of any
volume of it, compared with an equal volume of water.” The discovery of this lawrevolutionized every kind of ocean travel, commerce and warfare, and made the existence of the battleship, aircraft carriers, and cruise ships possible.

You will find exercises of this kind invaluable.

When the thought has been trained to look below the surface everything takes on a different appearance, the insignificant becomes significant, the uninteresting interesting; the things which we supposed to be of no importance are seen to be the only really vital things in existence.
